Liza Royce has worked at Pickford’s Travel, Going Places and Thomas Cook at various times over the last 20 years, managing branches in Margate, Ramsgate, Folkestone, Broadstairs and Canterbury. But she made her biggest career leap so far when she was recently appointed sales development manager with homeworking business Future Travel.
And having successfully made the leap from the High Street to the home, Liza is preparing to be the face of an advertising campaign encouraging more travel professionals to start working from home.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time working on the High Street,” said Liza, “but I felt the time was right for a new challenge.
“Future Travel has given me the opportunity to learn new skills and develop professionally, whilst also providing me with a more flexible way of working. This is also great for homeworkers, as they can spend as much time as is needed to make sure customers get the perfect holiday.
“The most surprising thing is how much I have felt part of a team – despite the fact that I now work from home,” concluded Liza.
