Major New Contract win For CTM

Feb 29, 2008

Co-operative Travel Management has been awarded preferred supplier status by Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC), a contract that will result in around £5 million of business.

The announcement came at CTM’s annual conference, held at The Midland Hotel in Manchester last week.  Head of CTM Anthony Rissbrook informed staff that the three-year contract would begin at the end of April, and that it could lead to additional business from the universities that make up the membership of SUPC.

Rissbrook said: “This is a fantastic start to the year for us.  Not only is it an extremely valuable piece of business, but it should also open the doors to providing business travel management solutions for a number of universities in the south”.

The SUPC agreement comes hot on the heels of CTM winning a contract worth approximately £1m per annum to manage the business travel requirements of Cardiff University.

In addition to SUPC, CTM – part of The Co-operative Travel Group - has 10 university and higher education clients across the UK.
