Set amidst beautiful pine forests in the Carpathian mountains, Poiana Brasov retains its cultural uniqueness whilst maintaining its friendly and welcoming atmosphere. This purpose built resort offers excellent value for money and is great for beginners and intermediates with wide pistes that alternate with pine woods up on the mountain. The ski area is compact and scenic and a new eight-seater gondola has recently expanded the lift system. Nursery slopes are situated in the village and on the plateau at the top of the mountain. The ski area offers easy progression to the main pistes with the added advantage of skiing back to the village on a long blue run.
For non skiers there is a great range of activities and excursions available including a visit to Bran Castle, home to the legendary Count Dracula - a must see!
